English Oak signet ring - 9ct gold and emerald

This sculptural 9ct gold ring grows from a slender 2.5mm band to a bold 9mm face that holds a 7 x 5mm emerald.

The ring began as a fragment of English Oak bark, foraged by Issy and cast in gold to retain its deep fissures and rugged, organic contours. Issy then shaped the cast gold into the tapered signet form, allowing the tactile character of the weathered bark to flow around the band and towards the emerald.
