English Oak Hoops

These 9ct gold hoops preserve the rugged character of the English Oak bark in a compact sculptural form. Deep surface markings, irregular edges and small natural openings give each earring a strongly tactile, organic personality.

Issy selected and foraged the original pieces of bark before casting their forms directly in gold. She then curved the fragments into irregular 14mm hoops, retaining the weathered contours and negative spaces of the natural source. 

A small white diamond set into each hoop adds a subtle point of sparkle against the richly textured gold.
