Hawthorn ring - gold and sapphire

This 9ct gold ring is cast directly from the bark of a Hawthorn tree, carrying its dense, undulating texture into a 4mm band.

An octagonal bi-coloured sapphire sits at the centre of the design, set into a textured bezel that continues the natural patterns of the surrounding band. The clean, clear gemstone contrasts the weather-worn, organic surface of the Hawthorn bark.
