Mixed bark tag necklace - silver

Four different British trees come together in this silver tag necklace. From left to right, the pieces come from bark of Silver Birch, Hawthorn, Beech and English Oak trees.

Issy foraged each piece of bark and cast it directly in recycled sterling silver. The tags reveal the different patterns of each tree – from the more refined character of Beech to the rugged, tactile texture of English Oak – creating a small study of the varied barks found across British woodland and countryside.
