Inside Oak ring - silver

A subtle pattern of tiny indentations travels across the surface of this 7mm silver ring, creating a finely dotted, tactile texture. The naturally uneven contours of the band add to its organic character.

Issy selected and foraged the original fragment of English Oak bark for the unusual markings on its inner surface, then cast them directly in recycled sterling silver. Unlike the linear patterns found on many of Issy's Inside Oak pieces, this fragment displays a more dappled, almost stippled texture – a good example of the natural variation she finds within a single tree species.
